INIT Innovations in Transportation Inc. announced its new leadership team as of Jan. 1.
Carl Commons, former chief sales officer, has taken the reins as CEO. Commons is a seasoned transit professional with 17 years at INIT and 25 years of expertise managing sales, customer service, and technical teams. His strategic management skills, deep understanding of INIT’s business, and leadership excellence make him a proven industry expert.
Andy Singh, former COO, East, is appointed as president and COO. Singh recently celebrated six years with INIT where he excelled as the director of engineering and moved into the role of COO. His deep technical knowledge and passion for operational quality has driven significant improvements across teams and projects, positioning INIT for continued growth and success under his leadership.
“Our focus is steadfast on delivering solutions that enhance public transportation while creating greater synergy for our customers, employees, and partners to thrive,” said Singh.
Eric Linxweiler, formerly INIT's COO for the Western region, is stepping into the newly created role of chief customer officer. In this role, Linxweiler’s 27 years of progressive senior leadership positions, including nine years with INIT, will prove valuable as he focuses on building stronger connections with customers, helping them get the most out of INIT’s solutions, and ensuring services and products continue to deliver high value to transit agencies. This new position highlights INIT’s ongoing commitment to putting customers first.
Also moving into a new role is Scott Walsh, former sr. director, business development, who will take on the job of executive director, sales and marketing. Walsh has more than 25 years of transit experience and 10 years at INIT. Having served in multiple technical and managerial roles over the years, Walsh brings a proven record of driving growth and strengthening customer relationships.
INIT’s leadership changes mark the beginning of an exciting new era for the company. Under the appointed executive team, INIT will continue to evolve while staying dedicated to operational continuity and outstanding customer relationships.
