New Steps for AAAHI

The appointment follows Graeme Legh’s succession to Kelsian Group CEO, following his time as CEO of AAAHI, where under his leadership the operation became the second largest motorcoach company in the U.S.

Legh said this leadership transition comes at a pivotal moment of growth and opportunity for AAAHI.

“Brent’s experience in both the global commercial vehicle market and the U.S. motorcoach industry offers a unique vantage point to lead AAAHI through evolving market demands and expansion efforts,” he said.

Maitland Brings A Wealth of Experience

Maitland joins AAAHI following a 19-year tenure at Motor Coach Industries (MCI), where he most recently served as VP, private sector sales and marketing.

At MCI, he oversaw $300 million-plus in revenue and guided commercial strategy, customer engagement, and cross-brand integration across the company, and led development and execution strategies that transformed customer engagement, brand positioning, and market expansion.

Maitland serves as a director on the boards of the American Bus Association and the National Limousine Association and was a former board member of the United Motorcoach Association. His early career spans leadership roles in consulting and tax advisory.

“Brent’s career is defined by his ability to foster alignment across diverse teams and build scalable strategies that deliver both profitability and purpose,” said Legh.

AAAHI Charging Ahead

With operations spanning 16 locations and a network of regional subsidiaries, AAAHI has become a powerhouse and the momentum now positions the company for a bold new chapter, according to Legh.

“Brent’s strategic thinking, operational excellence, and genuine care for people make him uniquely equipped to guide our growing family of brands,” he said. “We are thrilled to welcome him onboard.”

Maitland said he is honored to lead an organization with such a rich legacy and vibrant future.

"Throughout my career, I've built trusted relationships with the AAAHI operating companies, who are respected for their leadership, customer excellence, and safety cultures,” he said. “These strong regional brands are under excellent stewardship with the AAAHI team, whom I've worked with as both a customer and industry colleague. I look forward to strengthening support while empowering our local operations to continue delivering exceptional service."

With several brands across the nation, AAAHI was named METRO's Innovative Operator of the Year in 2024.

AAAHI Expanding Executive Team

In conjunction with continued growth, AAAHI has recently strengthened its executive team with a series of key promotions and appointments.

Shawn Davis has been promoted to COO, charter operations. Under his leadership as GM/VP of AAAHI subsidiary, ACE Express Coaches, revenue almost doubled during the last three years with significant expansion of AAAHI’s largest transit contract.

Terry Kin is now chief information officer and COO, employee shuttle operations. Kin will continue his responsibility to lead the IT team and to secure and deliver major new employee shuttle contracts for AAAHI.

Trisha Fridrich will transition to a new role as VP, marketing and communications, to bring more focus to opportunities in digital, sales, recruitment and safety. Her contributions over the past three years in business development have been critical in renewing all of AAAHI’s major contracts and securing a solid pipeline to position AAAHI for ongoing growth.
