Amtrak recognized as one of America's best employers
The agency is on the Forbes list for the fifth year in a row and is among 500 employers across 25 industries.

Amtrak received recognition for workplace excellence by earning a spot on the Forbes magazine’s America’s Best Large Employers 2019 list. Approximately 20,000 Amtrak employees ensure customers travel in comfort and reach their destinations safely and reliably.
Amtrak is on the list for the fifth year in a row and is among 500 employers across 25 industries. Listed under the transportation & logistics category, the railroad was chosen based on the magazine’s independent survey of more than 50,000 employees in 25 different industries working for companies with at least 1,000 people employed in their U.S. locations. The employees were asked open-ended questions regarding their employer.
Amtrak employees enable the railroad to be a vital part of the national transportation network, serving more than 500 destinations in 46 states, the District of Columbia, and three Canadian provinces, on more than 21,400 miles of routes.
