Anchor Trailways launches intercity service in Tenn.
The ATRunner will provide connections to specific Metro Transit buses as well as the Music City Star station in Donelson and Nashville International Airport.

[IMAGE]MTA.jpg[/IMAGE]The Anchor Trailways Runner (ATRunner), which offers daily round-trip motorcoach service between Lawrenceburg and Nashville, Tenn., recently made its debut with a celebration at the Music City Star Donelson Train Station in Nashville.
The ATRunner is funded by a federal 5311(f) grant administered by the Tennessee Department of Transportation's Multimodal Transportation Resource Division. The $2.5 million grant to Anchor Trailways & Tours is designed to address the intercity travel needs for people in rural areas of middle Tennessee, who do not currently have access to daily scheduled transit routes to major cities.
The ATRunner will serve Lawrenceburg, Ethridge, Columbia, Spring Hill, Franklin and Nashville where it will provide connections to the Metro Transit Agency buses at the Clement Landport, the Greyhound station in downtown Nashville, the Music City Star station in Donelson and Nashville International Airport.
The new route between Lawrenceburg and Nashville is expected to draw a wide range of travelers including air travelers who will now be able to take public transit directly to the airport and commuters along the route who will be able to take their work on-board with Internet and 110-volt power for operating portable electronic devices.
