OAKLAND, Calif. — Following the denial of $70 million in federal stimulus funds to build a proposed rail extension to the Oakland International Airport, the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is quietly trying to get the project rolling again by lining up new financing, according to the Mercury News.
