Riders can download the Ride On Trip Planner app from the Google Play or Apple app store.

The new Ride On Trip Planner app allows for trip planning across multiple modes including Ride On buses, Metrorail, Metrobuses, scooters, and bikeshare.

Additionally, the app will give live reports on wait times and ridership levels for Ride On buses by utilizing a crowdsourcing information feature.

The app also allows more Ride On buses to be added to busier routes based on immediate needs.

It also provides features to guide riders along their chosen route, including “first mile, last mile” directions to a selected bus stop, and push notifications when they have arrived.

A web-based version of the app also is available.

Wiremind Announces New SaaS Platform

Wiremind launched its latest product, PAXONE.

According to the company's news release, Wiremind is addressing common limitations with PAXONE, aiming to improve performance for passenger transport operators.

The development of the all-in-one platform was set off by the realization that transport operators are hindered by relying on disparate systems, each orchestrated by different service providers.

This fragmentation increases operational costs for transport operators, stifles efficiency, and impedes innovation.

Consequently, PAXONE streamlines the commercial IT landscape for transport operators by uniting Inventory, Sales, CRM, and RM functions into a cohesive system with an intuitive user interface (UX). Having a fully integrated solution effectively reduces maintenance and implementation costs for transport operators.

In total, 169 BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV double deckers and 130 BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV single deckers are expected to be supplied by the end of 2023.

Go-Ahead London Adds Nearly 300 Electric Buses

BYD UK and Alexander Dennis announced that their electric vehicle partnership has taken a repeat order from Go-Ahead London for a further 141 battery-electric buses, taking the total to be delivered to the operator during 2023 to 299 vehicles.

This new order follows Go-Ahead London’s success in winning contracts for bus routes tendered by Transport for London. TfL’s vision is to accelerate the delivery of an entirely zero-emission bus fleet by 2030, a target that requires continued Government investment.

In total, 169 BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV double deckers and 130 BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV single deckers are expected to be supplied by the end of 2023, with deliveries already underway.
