Bombardier sells 14 new units to Vancouver's SkyTrain
Option linked to 34-vehicle contract exercised.
Bombardier Transportation announced the sale of 14 more vehicles to Vancouver's SkyTrain transit network.
The Berlin-based railway equipment division of Bombardier Inc. said the Vancouver order — exercising an option linked to a 34-vehicle contract signed in November 2006 — raises the number of ART units sold worldwide to 610.
Other recent purchasers include Malaysia, Beijing's new international airport and South Korean city Yongin. ART technology also is in use in cities such as Toronto, Detroit and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
