The five-level structure features energy efficient LED lighting, solar panels on the roof to power the facility and electronic signage at the entrance to display where parking spots are available.
The Orange County (Calif.) Transportation Authority's (OCTA) Measure M contributed $8.25 million, with an additional $9.35 million in state funds to build the new parking garage. The structure came in 13 percent under budget for a total cost of $15.4 million.
