New Flyer of America Inc. (New Flyer), the U.S. subsidiary of New Flyer Industries Inc. (NFI Group), announced that Bakersfield, Calif.’s Golden Empire Transit District (GET bus) will add 24 Xcelsior® compressed natural gas (CNG) 40-foot, heavy-duty transit buses.
The new order, which adds a total of 24 equivalent units to New Flyer’s backlog, supports aged fleet replacement and the GET bus focus on environmental sustainability.

The 17-mile RapidRide I Line will bring faster, more frequent service and improved regional connections across South King County.
