CLEMSON, S.C. — With the city’s downtown and university campus building boom causing annoyances for those trying to park a car, Clemson University and City officials say a long-term solution to mitigate the problem is walkability, the Independent Mail reports.
Officials say walking to classes and other events on campus, or to downtown bars and restaurants, cuts the traffic on city and campus streets, eases parking headaches and reduces the cost of road maintenance.
