Initial construction of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority’s (GCRTA) new bus rapid transit (BRT) project will begin soon, following the announcement of an $18.4 million grant from the Federal Transit Administration.
The federal funds will go toward the initial phase of construction of the Euclid Corridor BRT project, paying for the resurfacing of two miles of pavement and sidewalks, curb modifications to accommodate people with disabilities, relocation of light poles, signs, pavement marking, and landscaping.
