Coach USA acquires pair of California operations

Coach USA LLC (CUSA) has acquired two ground transportation companies in Southern California. The two companies are San Bernardino-based Roesch Lines Inc., which also operates as Gray Line, and AirportBus of Anaheim, a scheduled bus company that provides tourists with airport shuttle service plus transportation to attractions. With the acquisition of Roesch, the company now operates the Gray Line brand in the major tourist destinations of Southern California and San Francisco. As part of the transaction, CUSA will acquire a maintenance facility in San Bernardino. The company looks to improve AirportBus' operation by increasing the service-level frequency from hourly to 30-minute departures. There are also plans to upgrade the buses within the next couple of months.
