Escot Bus Lines V.P. named METRO's Operator of the Year
Started in 1983 as a shuttle service with two minibuses, the business has since grown into a fleet of 26 coaches that provide charter service to more than 300,000 customers annually.
Brian Scott, vice president of Escot Bus Lines was named METRO Magazine's Operator of the Year at the 2002 United Motorcoach Association's Expo Awards Ceremony held Monday in Indianapolis. Scott's mother and father started Escot Bus Lines, headquartered in Largo, Fla., in 1983 as a shuttle service with a couple of minibuses. The business has since grown into a fleet of 26 coaches that provide charter service to more than 300,000 customers annually. In addition to running a successful coach operation, Scott has served on UMA's board of directors for the past year and is a past president of the Florida Motorcoach Association, where he helped to pass a diesel fuel tax rebate for Florida coach operators that went into effect last year.
