The Alexandria (Va.) Transit Company board voted this week to renew its contract with First Transit.
First Transit provides management services for the city’s DASH bus system, which includes 57 route buses and an annual ridership of more than 3.2 million passengers.
First Transit has served the transit company in this capacity since 1984.
RTD is distributing 1,500 buttons in Spanish, Amharic, French, Arabic, Oromo, Swahili, Italian, Nepali, German, Hindi, Farsi, and American Sign Language. Employees can volunteer to wear them on their shirts, hats, lanyards, or other visible items, in accordance with uniform standards.
