The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) ordered passenger carrier Aglemoarge Services Inc. based in Atlanta, Ga., to immediately cease all transportation services and revoked its operating authority due to a pattern of serious safety violations that pose an imminent hazard to public safety.
After a thorough safety review, FMCSA investigators found that Aglemoarge Services currently fails to monitor and ensure that its drivers comply with drivers' hours-of-service requirements, drivers' records of duty status requirements, drivers' qualification requirements, and drivers' controlled substances and alcohol use and testing requirements.
FMCSA investigators also found that Aglemoarge Services failed to meet federal safety requirements for vehicle maintenance, including regular inspections and repairs of its commercial motor vehicles. These patterns of violations substantially increase the likelihood of serious crashes, which endanger Aglemoarge Services' drivers, passengers and the traveling public.
Aglemoarge Services is an interstate charter carrier that intermittently operates as a curbside carrier transporting passengers between Atlanta and Chinatown in New York City. The carrier was also ordered by the State of Georgia to cease intrastate for-hire passenger operations on December 13, 2012.
