IBM and GE Interlogix will partner to provide large enterprises with comprehensive security services and tools to help customers protect computer systems, buildings and employees. As part of the relationship, GE Interlogix will integrate its security software with IBM's enterprise management and application server software, creating a solution platform for addressing physical and IT security needs. IBM and GE Interlogix will collaborate in marketing the combined software platform. IBM will provide IT security services, application integration and solution deployment and will work with an existing network of IBM and GE Interlogix partners to help customers integrate their IT infrastructure and back-office systems. In addition to helping deliver physical and IT security, this project integration will also enable the two companies to help reduce administration overhead for security staff.
