JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — While the starting salary for Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) bus drivers is only around $23,000, working long hours can result in pay that's on par with computer programmers ($60,000) or engineers ($70,000) in the Jacksonville area. JTA's director says the pay levels result from overtime, which is "necessary to operate," according to a First Coast News report. For the full story, click here.
