LOS ANGELES — Norman Bench Advertising, the company that provides and manages about 6,000 bus benches in Los Angeles, began removing them last week because it was not awarded a new contract from the city, officials told the Los Angeles Times.
The company recently was criticized for failing to disclose how many benches it has and how much money it gets from displaying ads on them.
The city has moved forward with a contract for a new company, but it may take a while to replace all the benches. For the full story, click here.
