BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana State University’s (LSU) Student Government Senate voted to increase the transit fee paid by students by $20.00, The Daily Reveille reported.
The increase is a response to a transit survey that showed that to keep the same quality of service, the fee would have to be raised by $13 because of annual inflation. The survey also found that students would be willing to pay an average increase of $18.53.
The $20 increase will also allow the University Office of Parking, Traffic and Transportation Services to buy another bus. For the full story, click here.
