“We are thrilled to partner with HID Global," said Sarah Memmi, partnerships manager at Littlepay. "Their technology fits well within our system, and together we will be offering a solution that puts passenger experience first. Now that the reader and validator are fully integrated and ‘Littlepay ready’, we are able to offer transit agencies our combined solution within weeks of signing a contract.”

HID Global has a suite of transit ticketing products for applications including on-board, platforms, ticket barriers, turnstiles, and kiosks. The HID TripTick reader, and the HID VAL100, when fitted with a TripTick device, offer EMV Level 2 certification and PCI and SRED compliance. They can read contactless cards, QR codes, and barcodes.

HID Global’s transit devices offer a single point of presentation for any tickets regardless of media.

“Our partnership will enable agencies to offer a powerful customer experience, with our single point of presentation for barcode, NFC and contactless EMV payment, combined with Littlepay’s modular approach”, said Susan Stuart, managing director, Access-IS Business Unit, HID Global.
