WINNIPEG, Canada — A man who stabbed and killed a Winnipeg Transit bus driver has been charged with second-degree murder, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with a probation order, CBC News reports.
The incident occurred at 2 a.m., when the driver pulled up to the last stop of his shift and asked the man to leave the bus. After a physical altercation, which ended up outside the bus, ensued, the driver was stabbed multiple times.
The driver’s death marks the first time a Winnipeg bus driver has been killed in an on-the-job assault. For the full story, click here.
