MBTA plans new app, customer service offerings
Will provide more real-time arrival info via smartphone, countdown information on LED subway signs and a customer service training program for staff.
BOSTON — In 2010, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s plan to bring real-time arrival info on the Red, Blue and Orange rail lines to its riders in 2010 became a success, BostonHerald.com reports.
As a result, the agency will launch in 2011 another mobile application that enables customers to provide pictorial feedback on station cleanliness and train conditions; real-time arrival info for commuter rail; countdown information on LED subway signs; and a new customer service training program for staff.
