White House mulls Mineta replacement
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A short list of candidates is emerging to replace Norman Mineta; however, with a monthlong recess set to begin soon for Congress, it is unlikely that a new transportation secretary will be appointed before the fall. SEATTLE — Sound Transit says that it has figured out a way to run trains across a floating bridge without being derailed by wind and waves.
