Mobility Ventures LLC, designer and manufacturer of the MV-1, announced that it now has more than 50 members in its nationwide dealer network.

Headquartered in South Bend, Ind., Mobility Ventures LLC, is a wholly owned subsidiary of AM General.

"We have surpassed a milestone of signing more than 50 dealers across the country to sell the revolutionary MV-1," said Mobility Ventures VP, Sales and Marketing, John Walsh. "Today's announcement marks the start of building a strong dealership network, both domestic and international, that will be well positioned to provide the MV-1 to the consumer and commercial markets."

Walsh added that the AM General Commercial Assembly Plant (CAP) has started production and is on schedule for the new dealers to begin taking delivery of MV-1 vehicles in March 2014.

The Mobility Ventures Sales and Marketing team is continuing to conduct interviews with potential dealers across the country to expand the dealer network into all major markets. "We will be on a road show throughout the U.S showcasing the MV-1 to dealers to find the best fit in terms of location, dealer experience and commitment to customer service," said Walsh. Interested dealers should contact the Mobility Ventures Sales and Marketing team at:  info@mv-1.us

The MV-1 is the first factory-built mobility vehicle designed from the ground up to provide accessible transportation to individuals with mobility challenges, commercial fleets, institutions, and municipalities. Built at AM General's world-class, 675,000-square-foot Commercial Assembly Plant in Mishawaka, Ind., the MV-1 is universally designed, allowing people of all abilities equal access to a quality, safe and inclusive transportation option.

It meets all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) direct from the factory with no modifications. Additionally, the MV-1 is more durable and cost effective to own and operate than a traditional retrofitted van or bus, according to the company. It is dedicated to transporting all passengers; with or without mobility challenges, making it the perfect solution for both consumer and commercial fleet services.
