MV Transportation recently started its management contract with Cape Cod (Mass.) Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA). Under the new contract, MV manages the entire operation including dispatch, reservations, scheduling and vehicle and property maintenance for CCRTA’s fixed route and paratransit operations.

MV is based out of CCRTA’s current operations and maintenance facility in South Dennis, Mass., and provides service to all of Cape Cod. The fleet consists of nearly 100 vehicles and completes approximately 540,000 trips per year.

CCRTA is one of 15 Regional Transit Authorities within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has been providing public transportation services since 1976 to residents and visitors as well as consumers of state agencies and human service organizations for all 15 Cape Cod communities. The transit system owns and operates the Hyannis Transportation Center in downtown Hyannis and the state of the art Operations and Maintenance Facility in South Dennis.

As one of the largest passenger transportation contracting firms in North America, MV Transportation contracts with several other transit agencies across the east coast.
