Optima Bus Corp. delivered streetcars to repeat customers Red Rose Transit Authority (RRTA) in Lancaster, Pa., and SouthWest Metro Transit Commission in Eden Prairie, Minn. Each property took delivery of one American Heritage Streetcar, rounding out each fleet with three streetcars apiece. The success of RRTA's historic trolley shuttle and park-and-ride service made it necessary to add the new streetcar to its fleet. In addition, RRTA also operates four under 30-foot and 12 under-35-foot Opus low-floor buses. SouthWest's trolley purchase will enable the operation to offer new service in its historic communities.
