Orbital wins $11.7 million Foothill Transit contract
Company will track and manage agency's 300-vehicle fleet.
Orbital TMS received an $11.7 million contract from West Covina, Calif.-based Foothill Transit to track and manage the agency's fleet of 300 vehicles. The company will use its GPS satellite-based OrbCAD fleet management system to help Foothill improve service for its riders and increase the efficiency of its operations. Among the features the system offers are a bus signal priority capability and Orbital's Advanced Traveler Information System will be included to provide real-time schedule information to the public at major Foothill Transit centers.
