Parvus introduces next-gen Wi-Fi product
System keep-alive software maximizes Internet connectivity.
Parvus Corp. has introduced RiderNet³, its third-generation transit Wi-Fi product.
RiderNet³ incorporates a rugged hardware design that eliminates the use of less-reliable consumer cellular Aircards. RiderNet product deployments are managed by Parvus through standard monthly service agreements. From its Network Operations Center in Salt Lake City, Parvus monitors and tracks all fielded systems as well as performs top-level troubleshooting.
Standard features include vehicle-grade wireless access point router with integrated broadband modem, high-gain vehicle antennas for EV-DO cellular backhaul, 802.11, and GPS tracking, ignition sensing (12 or 24vdc systems), system keep-alive software to maximize connectivity, and Web-based historical and real-time usage reporting.
Advanced features include content filtering, 1-800 number for passenger support, installation and training services, custom splash pages, walled garden capability for branding and surveys, priority Ethernet port for on-board systems and VPN/802.11 support for data transfer to HQ database.
