SEARCHParsons Brinckerhoff will inspect components supplied to nation's largest transit agency.
Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) has won a contract with New York City Transit (NYCT) to perform in-depth inspections of track, vehicle, signaling, structural steel and miscellaneous transit equipment components.
Under the terms of the contract, PB will be responsible for developing inspection plans and performing audits of companies that supply these products to NYCT.
As part of the contract, PB will also analyze and evaluate current NYCT standards, specifications and procurement practices. The company will also take part in presentations and make recommendations on how to improve existing standards.
The contract will be performed on behalf of Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
