SALT LAKE CITY — A coalition, including members of the Associated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU), created a petition, which the group will present at the next ASUU general assembly meeting, to ask that the university to dedicate part of its funding to active transportation — any kind of transit that is not a motorized vehicle, The Daily Utah Chronicle reported.
On the university’s busiest days, more than 4,000 students are biking, walking and skateboarding to campus, but there is currently no funding in the university’s transportation budget to accommodate their needs. For the full story, click here.
