Based on surveys of the major manufacturers that sell vehicles in the U.S. and Canada, motorcoach sales from the participating manufacturers saw a decrease over the prior year’s second quarter to a total of 766 units (502 new coaches and 264 pre-owned coaches), according to the American Bus Association Foundation’s Motorcoach Builder Survey.
There was an overall 15% decrease in sales year over year. However, pre-owned vehicle sales were up by 11% over 2018 second quarter sales. The biggest drop in sales was in the 40 to 45 foot group, which went from 15 sold in the second quarter of 2018 to 4 sold in the second quarter of 2019.
