SYSTRA Consulting Inc. (SYSTRA) was selected by BART to provide Design Services During Construction (DSDC) for deployment of its next generation train control system: Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC). The project will improve the system’s state of good repair and capacity requirements, as well as secure customer satisfaction for the next 30 years and beyond.

SYSTRA will provide design services to support BART’s program to modernize aging and obsolete train control equipment and increase train capacity throughout its system and execute the project consistent with the CBTC supplier.

Solidifying SYSTRA’s growing presence in the San Francisco Bay Area, the diverse DSDC team features leading CBTC experts with global expertise, resulting from working on over 40 CBTC projects around the world, and local talent from Disadvantaged, Small, Minority, and Women Business Enterprises with strong ties to the communities served by BART.
