Tennessee group gives $25K to Motorcoach Council
TMCA challenges all state, regional and national associations to match tax-deductible donation.
The Tennessee Motor Coach Association’s (TMCA) board of directors unanimously approved a $25,000 contribution to the Motorcoach Council, a not-for-profit organization that promotes public awareness of the availability, selection, usage and benefits of motorcoach transportation throughout North America.
TMCA’s donation was more than the standard $2,000 contribution of a state association to join the Council’s Founding Partners Program. The success of the vote passed was in large part due to the efforts and appeals of two motorcoach operators and existing Founding Partners of the Council: Chris Levering, of Grayline Nashville; and Bill Gentry, of Gentry Trailways.
"We are challenging all state, regional and national associations to match our $25,000 tax-deductible donation to the Motorcoach Council as a display of our unconditional and overwhelming support of the Council’s mission,” said Levering.
The Motorcoach Council is currently raising initial operating start-up funds via the Founding Partners Program. Monetary donations and in-kind contributions are being received to support the Council’s strategic goals.
