SEARCHAdding 18 Opus low-floor buses to original order brings transit authority’s total bus order to 33 vehicles.
The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) has exercised the option to add another 18 under-30-foot Opus low-floor buses from Optima Bus to an order of 15, bringing the total bus order to 33.
UTA expects all the buses to be delivered and in revenue service by fall 2005.
The Opus buses are expected to operate primarily on light rail feeder routes, in downtown circulator service and in areas with low population density.
