[Video] CEOs in Autonomous Vehicles with Robbie Makinen

One of the most innovative CEOs in America and CEO of Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA), Robbie Makinen, joined Paul Comfort to discuss the need to interweave new technology into public transportation. He also shared an idea of how KCATA might adopt autonomous vehicles into their service.

Providing Service for Those Who Served

When the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Paralyzed Veterans of America hold the 34th National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Philadelphia from August 12-17, SEPTA will have the opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to those who have served the Armed Forces. The Authority will provide transportation for the more than 500 veterans with spinal cord injury, amputations and neurological disorders that will travel to Philadelphia from across the country and the United Kingdom to compete.

UTA, Salt Lake City partner on expanding transit

Possible new projects include enabling all residents to get to two transit routes within a quarter-mile of where they live or work, and having transit operation hours mirror the times people travel to and from work. UTA is also working on a distance-based fare system.
