Following a rigorous search process, Intelligent Transit Solution provider Connexionz Ltd. announced Wayne Smith as its CEO. The board unanimously agreed that Smith’s international commercial experience and successful track record of launching and growing a customer-focused technology startup in New Zealand made him the ideal candidate to lead Connexionz on the next stage of its innovative efforts in the public transit market.

Previously, Smith was CEO of Aeropath where he expanded sales from New Zealand across the pacific, throughout Asia and into Europe, significantly exceeding growth aspirations for four consecutive years. Smith has also held senior international roles with Airways, Thales, and Hewlett Packard.

Following a successful year in the U.S. with multiple contract wins, the launch of a permanent U.S. service office, and Connexionz’ first annual user summit and conference, Smith arrives with a clear path ahead in helping solidify Connexionz place as an industry leader.

“Today's announcement follows a strong year in the United States on the back of the Valley Transit (Washington) project and winning the San Joaquin tender in Stockton, California. Positive outcomes from strong prospects from both the east and west coasts and increasing revenues from customers demonstrates a real confidence in our Intelligent Transit solutions," said Connexionz Board Chair Tony Kan.
