Luxury Coach Co. Hires Ex-Greyhound/Coach America Chief
Texas-based luxury motor coach service Vonlane has tapped Craig R. Lentzsch to serve as senior advisor.

Texas-based luxury motor coach service Vonlane has tapped the former President/CEO for both Greyhound and Coach America Craig R. Lentzsch to serve as senior advisor.
Drawing on more than three decades of experience in the motor coach industry, Lentzsch will provide Vonlane’s executive team with insight into the industry and guide the company forward as it continues to lead and expand the luxury motor coach market.
Vonlane offers business and personal travelers hassle-free transportation aboard luxury motor coaches multiple times daily between Austin, Dallas and Houston and soon, San Antonio. Vonlane’s goal is to allow passengers to maximize productive or relaxation time while traveling.
Lentzsch began his career in the motor coach business by co-founding BusLease Inc., which became the largest motor coach leasing company in the U.S. In 1987, BusLease merged with Greyhound when Lentzsch and other investors bought Greyhound and led the integration and operations for the next five years.
Lentzsch went on to serve as executive VP and CFO of Phoenix-based Motor Coach Industries International Inc., the largest manufacturer of intercity coaches and transit buses in North America, and then returned to Greyhound, serving as the company’s president/CEO for close to a decade. In 2003, he joined as president/CEO of Coach America Holdings, provider of ground transportation and travel services in the southern half of the U.S..
Since retirement in 2007, Lentzsch has served in private equity and advisory roles. He has been director for Coach America, director and chair of the audit committee for Dynamex, executive chairman for All Aboard America!, member of The Pillow Bar, advisory director with Bulkley Capital and operating partner with Satori Capital.
As Vonlane’s Senior Advisor, Lentzsch will retain his adjunct faculty position at the University of Denver where he teaches transportation finance in the Transportation Management Master’s program. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
