The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) selected Luminator Technology Group (Luminator) to install its RoadRunner HD and RoadRunner AHD mobile video surveillance system across RTC’s fleet of fixed-route and paratransit buses.

Installed in RTC’s fleet of more than 700 fixed-route bus and paratransit vehicles, Luminator’s RoadRunner video security solutions provide RTC with a system designed to improve safety for both RTC’s operators and its more than 56 million passengers in the greater Las Vegas Valley area.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with RTC in Las Vegas,” said Nima Ostad, VP of sales at Luminator Technology Group. “Through Luminator’s video systems, RTC transit officials will be provided with system health reports, which reduce maintenance costs, in addition to artificial intelligence (AI) that delivers specific transit safety components in real-time.”

Luminator will equip RTC transit vehicles with digital video recorders, wireless network equipment, and back-end fleet management software. Up to 11 interior and exterior cameras are being installed on-board each vehicle. Luminator’s RoadRunner On-board Video Security Systems are designed to enhance fleet efficiency, reduce maintenance and operating costs, increase accessibility of data, and mitigate risk and liability.

RTC’s passengers will benefit from Luminator’s decades of experience in development, design, manufacturing, and support of solutions, including video evidence management, advanced analytics, and machine learning technology.
