TRC Introduces Pingo Access

The Routing Company (TRC) announced the introduction of Pingo Access, which aims to enhance the paratransit rider experience.

Pingo Access is live in California with Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST), the City of Fairfield’s transit system in Solano County, California. The service was first announced in November 2022 and launched on July 1.

Pingo Access is a feature within the Pingo platform that delivers Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit services in multiple modes. It has the same user interface while integrating settings and constraints optimized for paratransit.

The new double-deck buses introduce new identities for the companies’ Windsor Express routes, formerly known as Green Line.

Reading Buses Relaunches Windsor Express Network

Alexander Dennis announced that it has supplied seven new Enviro400 to Reading Buses and its sister company Thames Valley Buses.

The new double-deck buses introduce new identities for the companies’ Windsor Express routes, formerly known as Green Line. The 702 between Legoland and the capital becomes the London Line, while sister route 703 from Bracknell to Heathrow Airport is now the Flight Line. Both run directly past the royal residence at Windsor Castle.

The new Enviro400 buses have the manufacturer’s ‘City’-style body, which includes a glazed staircase and skylights.

Alstom Announces Solar Power Purchase Agreement

Alstom and Schneider Electric have announced a new Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) focused on solar development in Spain. 

The 160 GWh/year solar farm project will cover approximately the equivalent of 80% of Alstom’s electricity consumption in Europe. 

The solar farm is expected to begin operations beginning in 2025, with the contract lasting 10 years. 

The announcement comes soon after Alstom had its near-term emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as consistent with levels required to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. 

GOGO Charters will offer one-time and recurring group transportation services for a variety of trips, events, and special occasions.
