BYD–Alexander Dennis Partnership Celebrates 1,500th Electric Bus

BYD UK and Alexander Dennis announced that their partnership has officially handed over its 1,500th electric bus, a BYD–Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV for Go-Ahead London.

The 1,500th BYD–Alexander Dennis electric bus is one of nearly 300 joining Go-Ahead London this year for routes in the capital. 

Allocated to Merton Garage with fleet number SEe199, it has been in service on Transport for London routes 163 and 164 since May. It has now been officially handed over to Go-Ahead London’s managing team by representatives of BYD and Alexander Dennis in a small celebration at the depot.

TfL Awards Multiyear Tech Contract to Via

Via announced that it has been awarded a multiyear contract by Transport for London (TfL) to improve accessible transport across the city through technology. 

As a result of a competitive two-year tender process, Via will introduce its software platform in early 2024, powering the Dial-a-Ride service with the aim to further increase the quality of service and passenger experience for elderly and disabled members in London. 

The partnership will also help TfL to expand the Dial-a-Ride service to reach more people.

The new software will benefit Dial-a-Ride’s 30,000 members helping TfL to provide customers with reliable and equal access to transport for everyday leisure trips.

Luminator Offers Canada Customer Care Program

Luminator Technology Group (Luminator) announced the implementation of an express shipment program to their customers in Canada. 

The customer care program provides a logistics center to manage repair parts shipments between Canada and Texas.

Their logistics center is based in Brampton and parts are received from customers in Canada. The logistics team ensures the parts are sent back promptly to their Texas facility.
