ABA, UMA to discuss unification
A joint task force has developed a plan to combine the nation’s two largest motorcoach organizations.
The American Bus Association (ABA) and the United Motorcoach Association (UMA) will discuss the possibility of joining together at a meeting Dec. 7 in Orlando, Fla.
A joint task force, made up of 10 members from both organizations, has developed a framework for how the ABA and UMA can be unified.
The task force met in mid-November and declared that it reached a “framework for a unified industry association.” Members will present the unification plan before a joint meeting of both boards.
After the presentation, both boards will meet separately to consider the proposal. If both approve, then the plan will be presented to UMA and ABA members in February.
