ABC debuts 35-foot, rear-engine model at BusCon
Model built on new XBR Freightliner chassis.
"Our customers were looking for a big-coach feel in a smaller, more efficient vehicle," said ABC President and CEO, Dane Cornell (shown center) during the showfloor unveiling.
The new ABC Companies-branded 3035RE made its debut on the showfloor at BusCon 2007, held in Chicago October 1 to 3.
This 35-foot, rear-engine model is built on the new XBR Freightliner chassis and features a durable steel and stainless steel combination construction frame and new body styling. Other features include 280 cubic foot pass-through baggage bays, a 20,000-lb. rear axle rating and ZF independent front suspension with disc brakes and a 60-degree wheel cut.
The new 3035RE represents the third major collaboration between ABC and partner Thor Industries Commercial Bus Division and General Coach America.
