Alstom, a global provider of equipment and services for the
power generation and rail transportation industries, is opening a new office in
Washington, D.C.
The company says they are committed to developing new technologies that
minimize the environmental impact of the power generation and rail
transportation industries and, thus, brings strong international experience to the
clean energy challenges facing the U.S.
“Given the political and regulatory challenges involved in
our industries, having an executive office in Washington D.C. will greatly
enhance our contribution to the discussion concerning clean power solutions,”
said Philippe Joubert, executive VP of Alstom and head of the company’s
international division.
The company’s new Washington,
D.C.office is located at 801 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Pierre L. Gauthier has been appointed president and CEO of Alstom U.S. and will be based in the new Washington headquarters,
along with a senior executive team. Gauthier, who joined Alstom in 1996, has
more than thirty years of experience in the industry.
