Busbud, Alexander Dennis, Via, and Masabi recently announced news from their respective companies.

Busbud Expands Access to Ground Transportation

Busbud announced a partnership to increase access to Brightline’s high-speed train service throughout South and Central Florida.

Brightline’s high-speed, eco-friendly train service will now be available through Busbud’s booking platform.

The recently expanded Brightline Miami to Orlando route is now bookable on Busbud. 

Other cities served include Aventura, a new city accessible to Busbud customers, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach where travelers can access many points of interest including Miami Dolphins’ Hard Rock Stadium, InterMiami’s Pink Stadium, Kaseya Center - home of the Miami Heat, Florida Atlantic University, Downtown Miami, South Beach, as well as Orlando International Airport, among many other destinations. 

Brightline offers 30 hourly train departures between Miami and Orlando, and 15 round trips, with stops along its South Florida stations.

Alexander Dennis Unveils Next-Gen Electric Buses

Alexander Dennis announced it has launched its next generation of battery-electric buses for the UK and Ireland with the unveiling of the new Enviro100EV small bus and Enviro400EV double-decker.

They provide a step change in performance and are part of a wider family of next-generation zero-emission buses.

The new buses have been engineered fully in-house as zero-emission vehicles.

They introduce a new design language that emphasizes their zero-emission credentials.

The 11.1m-length Enviro400EV double-decker is designed to shift the crowds on busy urban and interurban routes, advancing electrification options for services across the UK and Ireland with a range of up to 260 miles. 

Via Takes Over On-Demand Public Transport Services in Germany 

Via announced that it will take over 10 on-demand public transport services in Germany from CleverShuttle.

These services represent roughly 75% of CleverShuttle's business.

Via has taken over as the technology and operations provider for six on-demand transport services in the Rhein-Main Verkehrsverbund (RMV) region, as well as services in Essen, Dresden, Kassel, and Leverkusen. 

Via worked closely with its new partners to transition all 10 services simultaneously and on time.

The VDV estimates that the on-demand sector in Germany grew by 300% between 2018 and 2022.

Halifax Transit Launches Mobile Ticketing Solution

Halifax Transit announced the launch of a new digital fare payment system powered by Masabi.

HFXGO, the agency’s new mobile ticketing app, means that riders are able to purchase fares anytime, anywhere, simplifying rider access to Halifax Transit bus and ferry services.

The new mobile ticketing solution, powered by Masabi’s Justride, will transform the rider experience by allowing Halifax Transit riders to control a single mobility account from their smartphone device.

Riders can purchase tickets on their phone and when boarding show their mobile device, speeding up the boarding process. They can also now purchase tickets online using the new Halifax Transit web portal and push tickets to their mobile device. All ticket types are available to purchase via the app and web portal.
