Bytemark Launches Digital Ticketing

Bytemark announced the launch of mobile ticketing for summer tourists at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Residents and visitors can now purchase tickets and passes for VB Wave and Bayfront Shuttle services using the Journey by Bytemark customer app. 

In 2021, 11.5 million visitors made their way to Virginia Beach with a financial impact of over $3 billion dollars. 

To meet the demand of the throngs of seasonal visitors, Bytemark has added HRT to its Journey by Bytemark app.

Bytemark launched the Journey by Bytemark app to efficiently, effectively, and easily make mobile ticketing available for agencies and their riders. 

Each HVC360 power cabinet enables the connection of up to four charging stations as far as 100m from the power cabinet itself.

New Fleet Charging Solution

ABB E-mobility recently announced details of its new HVC360 fleet charging solution.

ABB E-mobility’s new HVC360 power cabinet represents a step in helping to deliver the solution for depot charging, embracing the complexities of fleet operations rather than forcing them to adapt. 

Each HVC360 power cabinet enables the connection of up to four charging stations as far as 100m from the power cabinet itself, while its proven, compact design allows installation back-to-back, side-to-side, or along a wall. 

The first 50 zero-emission buses will enter service in Wigan, Bolton, and parts of Salford and Bury in September.

Alexander Dennis Delivers First Electric Bee Network Bus

Alexander Dennis handed over the first five of 100 electric double-deck buses ordered by Transport for Greater Manchester to the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham. 

The first 50 zero-emission buses will enter service in Wigan, Bolton, and parts of Salford and Bury in September when the new Bee Network starts to bring buses under local control for the first time in nearly 40 years. 

A further 50 will be delivered in March 2024, when bus franchising will be extended to Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, and parts of Manchester, Salford, and Tameside, before services across the rest of Greater Manchester follow in January 2025.
