The historic bus ridden by Rosa Parks, on display at the Henry Ford Museum, has been draped with purple and black crepe to mark her death Monday at age 92. In 1955, Parks sparked a civil rights movement when she refused to give up her bus seat to a white man in Montgomery, Ala. The restored 1948 GM Montgomery City Lines bus was purchased by the Dearborn, Mich.-based museum through an online auction in 2001. The museum was the high bidder at $427,919. The other final bidders for the bus were the Smithsonian Institution and the city of Denver, Colorado, according to the museum's Website.
