Complete Coach Works (CCW) has been awarded a contract by the City of Fairfield (Calif.) to repower four buses with new engines and transmissions. The project involves two 40-foot and two 35-foot Gillig buses, which are being retrofitted with new I/O Logic Controllers to enhance trouble shooting and diagnostic analysis. In addition, CCW will be converting the two 40-foot buses to run on natural gas by installing 2002 CARB certified clean burning Detroit Diesel Series 50G natural gas engines. Other major upgrades include the Twin Vision all LED destination signs, Digital Recorders "Talking Bus" as well as the Transit Care three-minute window.
