Connex North America has acquired U.S. public transportation carrier ATC, extending the company's reach to major U.S. cities from Seattle to Boston. "We look forward to capitalizing on the growth opportunities that this acquisition provides and are excited about offering new and expanded services to our clients and customers," said Connex North America CEO Olivier Brousse. ATC's former headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill., will be used by Connex as a key operations center and will provide infrastructure and support services. Connex will remain headquartered in Silver Spring, Md., in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Connex North America, a subsidiary of Paris-based Connex, now has 11,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada, with an estimated annual revenue of $750 million, and approximately 6,500 vehicles.
