COTA to provide free Wi-Fi on entire 444-bus fleet

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will begin providing free Wi-Fi on all 444 of its buses by the end of January, The Columbus Dispatch reports.
The agency will begin upgrading its fleet to 4G service, allowing wireless internet access at higher speeds on buses by Dec. 1, which is being done to increase communication between buses and COTA so the agency can track its buses in real-time, and ideally, improve efficiency.
