First Transit appointed David Perez as VP of safety for all North American operations. Perez will report directly to Brad Thomas, president of First Transit.

“David has vast experience in safety and extensive knowledge of OSHA and Department of Transportation regulatory guidelines.” said Thomas. “Safety is a core value, and he is a great fit to lead continuous improvement for our ever-growing and varying mobility solutions.”

Perez has more than 23 years of safety experience in areas such as manufacturing, waste management and food processing. Perez was most recently at Ardagh Glass as the vice president of health and safety, with responsibility for all of the company’s North American manufacturing operations.
